BORN: During the war, Plymouth Wisconsin. Then it was a city of 4,000 people in the
middle of thousands of dairy farms.
EDUCATION: I spent three years in the U.S. Army, two in Eritera, Africa. B.A. in
international studies from the University of Wisconsin in Oshkosh. M.A. in political
science at Ohio University.
EXPERIENCE: I taught at Ohio University as an instructor while running a small
livestock and timber farm in Vinton County, where I helped set up the Careline Crisis
Hotline. I also ran a construction and renovation contracting business. For over ten
years I have enjoyed being a REALTOR and broker at the best Real Estate company in the area.
WHY REAL ESTATE? My transition into Real Estate has been a fun and natural
progression. I have always been interested in houses and land. Living in different
parts of the Athens area has given me a great appreciation for the diversity in our area's
architecture, geography and people. Having vocations connected with the education, building
and remodeling of homes has naturally led to working with people and Real Estate.
